Ever since I took Spanish in summer, I have developed a keen interest on Spanish culture and cinema. I have already watched several Spanish movies mostly of Pedro Almodovar's. So far, the film "Todo Sobre Mi Madre" is my favorite, perhaps the best crafted Spanish movie of all time. It is a story of a mother, who was pregnant by a transvestite and her journey starting from loss of her son, a reunion with a long time and socially abused transgender friend, taking charge of a pregnant nun and working for a lesbian couple. I have listed below some memorable quotes that have strongly confounded me.
" Well, as I was saying, it costs a lot to be authentic, ma'am. And one can't be stingy with these things because you are more authentic the more you resemble what you've dreamed of being"
"I'm not a whore. I've been fucked around a lot, but I'm not a whore"
